When Buddha called together the twelve symbolic animals, the Rat showed
up first. Rat people are great leaders, and there's never a dull moment
with them. They are so energetic that they try to go in too many directions
at once and are at risk of scattering their efforts too widely; they are
never satisfied with mediocre efforts of themselves. When it comes to love
ones, Rat people are very generous, and they revere and cherish those close
to them. Rat people hate to be lonely and fears isolation; and they craves
social acceptance and peer approval and spends much of their time seeking a
place in society.
Positive side:
Charming, protective, compassionate, communicative,
dynamic, thrifty, skillful, sober, upright, attractive, idealistic, prosperous,
experimental, calm, sensual, loving, talented, adaptable, open-minded,
and are brilliant entrepreneurs.
Negative side:
Talks too much, grow possessive, picky, defensive,
excessive, addictive, fickle, stingy, bossy, exploitive, anxious,
argumentative, opinionated, overbearing, and downright self-obsessed.
