The Ox is the second animal to arrive before Buddha and was
given the place of the second symbol in the Chinese zodiac.
Ox people are steady, patient, long-suffering, world-beaters
who inspire confidence and admiration. They are phenomenally
strong. They are also meticulous and try to foresee every
upcoming situation and will calculate ahead the risk and
results. Oxen painstakingly pick over every detail, and are
observant, proficient, competent, thorough, and annoyingly
accurate. Ox people are capable of fearsome rages. But
they are too stodgy and proud to lose their self-control.
Positive side:
Oxen are patient, contemplative, skillful, dexterous,
eloquent, confident, familiar, authoritative, industrious, sure-footed, and
diligent.
Negative side: Under the ox's thick hide you'll find prejudice, chauvinism,
pride, blind faith, tyranny, pettiness, criticism, eccentricity, bigotry,
conservatism, grumpiness, and on occasion, violence.
